Jack Taylor is the new promising Teenage Hooker Star

Jack Taylor is a teenage hooker with a bright future, as he already signed with both Southland and Highlanders. His contract is valid for three years and now, he has a chance to prove himself.

Jack is the first XV vice-captain of Southland Boys' High School. He committed to sticking with his home province of Southland and slowly developed, while Highlanders Super Rugby closely watched over him.

The 18-year-old player is ready for Dunedin next year where he will study a Bachelor of Commerce (Otago University). He will also play club rugby while working with the Highlanders as a development player. After that, he will return one year later back to Southland and link up Stags in 2022 NPC campaign.

Taylor told that he always dreamed of playing for Stags as it's his home province. His promise was recognized nationally, with him being named on Monday in New Zealand Barbarians Under-18 team.

The Barbarians team will join New Zealand Schools and Maori Under-18 teams in the upcoming month for a week-long camp. One more player from Southland Boys first five was added into the Maori under-18 team – Kaea Nikora-Balloch.

Barry Sinclair dies at age of 85
