PSG completes two big transfers from Serie A
After many years, PSG is working through the transition period under a new sporting director. With a new director, they got a new coach on the bench. Christophe Galtier replaced Mauricio Pochettino. Leonardo's place has now been taken by Luis Campos, the Portuguese who previously created the championship teams of Monaco and Lille.
His first targets in his new job are two players from the Italian Serie A. They are Inter's Slovakian stopper Milan Skriniar and Sassuolo's forward Gianluigi Scamacca. The French media, including the newspaper Le Parisien, write that PSG has already agreed on the contract terms with both players.
How much the compensation will be is not yet known, but it is assumed that the total for this tandem should amount to at least 80 million euros. Skriniar is 27 years old and has been among the league's best defenders for a long time, while Scamacca is four years younger and with 16 league goals, last season concluded the best period of his career.
Both of them are currently playing for the national team, Skriniar played 53 times for Slovakia, while Roberto Mancini, after the Italian national team's triumph at the European Championships last year, included Scamacca in the team, who made seven appearances, due to his good goalscoring form.
