James Krause officially retired
James Krause stated that he is retired but will likely fight again sometime. Krause didn't fight since the October of 2020 when he beat Claudio Silva by a decision and took the fight on short notice because he was busy with coaching.
Still, he was not officially retired as he said he will likely step into the Octagon once more. He said that he really struggles now and the three things he wanted were to be financially free and go out on his terms, not depend on UFC to tell him that he lost three in a row and now has to go. „I really have no desire to fight like I'm looking for a fight but if I ran into a perfect scenario with the right amount of money, I will definitely do it.
I think every day that goes by, the likelihood of me participating is shrinking. I see these days so many of them overstaying and I'm telling myself 'oh gosh this guy should not be here anymore'.“ – Krause said to the media. He told that he would rather be the guy who left a bit too early than the guy who should have gotten out way sooner.
