Dana White surprised Kyle with 250k in a plastic bag
UFC president Dana White has surprised Kyle Forgeard from The Nelk Boys with $250,000 in a plastic bag for his birthday. It's not a secret that The Nelk Boys are really close members of the UFC family, regardless of being it is fighters or bosses themselves.
Dana White was never shy about expanding his reach way beyond the mixed martial artist and drawing new fans or making some new friends. The Nelk Boys made a pretty good impression on the UFC president and as such, he is more than happy to hang out with them. Dana White has shown how highly he thinks of Kyle by giving him a really nice birthday present. Dana is entitled to do whatever he pleases with his money and it's worth noting because this caused quite a backlash within the MMA community.
The primary reason for this is that it helps kickstart the issue of fighter pay. Many fighters and pundits don't believe that UFC pays them their worth and only a handful of the biggest stars are receiving the salaries you would expect from elite combat sport. White is not going to pay much attention to that and he will focus on the best fights he can, largely because the ESPN deal means there is not much need for the company to push way too far with what they are currently handing out.
