He is currently one of the best catchers
Do you know who is currently one of the best catchers in baseball? J.T. Realmuto is a name we will surely hear about for a long time to come. Did you know that he is still the best catcher? In 2021 he was ranked better than any other catcher, number one in the CDA and FRA and fourth in the fWAR. J.T. Realmuto is a professional baseball player for the Philadelphia Phillies.
Between 2014 and 2018, he played for the Miami Marlins. J.T. was born in Del City to a family of athletes. As an adult, he played several sports, helping not only baseball but also the football teams of Carl Albert High School to win the title of national champion. J.T. was drafted in the third round of the MLB by the Miami Marlins, and it was their scout who encouraged this player to become a permanent catcher. Instead of fulfilling his obligation to play baseball in college, Jacob Tyler decided to sign a contract with the Miami Marlins.
He spent the next few seasons in the Marlins farm system working all the time on eliminating base stealers' attempts. After one of the initial catchers suffered a concussion, Jacob Tyler made his MLB debut in 2014. His speed and strength helped him make his first All-Star appearance in 2018. That same year, Jacob won his first Silver Slugger Award. J.T. Realmuto can certainly expect a lot more. We have to wait and see if he manages to keep the title of best.
