Ohtani is once again on the move
Sometimes it's hard to find words that could describe a wonderful player who shows with every game that he is truly unique and that hardly anyone else will achieve everything that Shohei Ohtani has done so far. Precisely because of the many well-played matches, it is clear that with each day there will be more and more prizes. The latest recognition for Shohei Ohtani is the award at the ESPY when he was named the best male athlete.
This sports star from Los Angeles was named the best athlete of the year, beating Aaron Rodgers from the Green Bay Packers and Stephen Curry from the NBA.
Shohei Ohtani made history in 2021 by achieving a .965 OPS with 46 home runs while finishing the season with a 3.18 ERA in 23 starts for the Angels. Despite setting the bar high last year, Shohei continued to impress in 2022. In his last six starts, he struck out 58 in 39 2/3 innings.
Very likely there will be more rewards for Shohei who does not intend to stop much longer. Since the season is not over yet and there are many games to play, it is certain that there will be many more big moves, which means collecting even more hardware.
