No future for Denzel Mims with the Jets
The former second-round pick will have to look for another option. Namely, Denzel Mims has nothing more to ask for in the New York Jets. One of the more difficult periods with the New York Jets for this player may be coming to an end. This became quite certain after the receiver officially requested the exchange last Thursday.
Ron Slavin, Baylor product's agent, submitted a request to the Jets, in which he pointed out that the Jets did not give his client a real chance to prove himself within the New York team. Even though Denzel Mims tried everything, it is clear that he has no future with this club.
Denzel recently promised to come back better than ever this season, but despite training hard in the offseason, he ended up not getting a chance to play in the starting lineup. At the moment, trade is considered to be the only option, as the New York Jets have made it clear multiple times that they will not let the player go.
Joe Douglas has always been fair to Denzel so far and it is believed that he will do everything he can to find Denzel another team where the player can show what he can do. It is believed that in the end, they will find the best solution for both parties.
