Yankees looking for new reinforcements
Who is the next player to go to the Yankees? Could it be Castillo? Although the Yankee's trade with the Royals for Andrew Benintendi reduces the possibility that they may go for the option of Juan Soto's arrival, it does not mean that the baseball club from New York has stopped bringing reinforcements.
The Yankees reportedly hired a scout for Castillo's game on Wednesday, where he allowed three runs over seven innings. The 29-year-old has a 1.59 ERA over his last five starts. The New York club recently held talks for Montas, who made two starts and totaled eight innings after battling a shoulder injury. Most importantly, the Yankees left enough cap space to eventually land one of these players who could greatly contribute to future results.
The Yankees recently brought in Gallo as well as Joely Rodríguez. However, Gallo's value plummeted after the deal as he hit just .160/.293/.371. There is another player that the club from New York would like to bring, and that is Andrew Benintendi, who is currently enjoying one of his best seasons.
One of the most famous clubs is interested in strengthening the bullpen since Michael King suffered an elbow injury. What is certain is that this club will do its best to create a team against which many will have problems winning.
